LOLA (2010)
Lola's Inspiration: Tattoos
This is the comix story of a young lady who lives at the Caribbean Coast and has a tattoo shop there. She tattoos in a certain way so that her clients don't feel the pain. Her sessions are a sexual act and she satisfies her customers by playing with them. During the act the people tell their life story which is also the reason for having a 'piece'. The books tell about her lifestyle, the stories of her clients, and includes a lot of street art.
The comix are designed in a special way which I invented 1997 and kept on using it 'til now. The text is available in English, German, Spanish and Miskito.

LoLa 1
In the first album you kinda get to know how she works with her clients. So she introduces you to her studio and waits for the first client to show up and to start on a session.
Her second client is a tiny dwarf woman who enjoys her life and just because of her happiness she wants to get a tattoo. Lola gets all kind of different customers, all of whom she will satisfy during the process of getting their art pieces. How does she excite the woman? And tattoo at the same time?
Of course, the life of Lola is always full of surprises, such as the nightly attack in her own house with a man who will change her mind a lot. An eternal love...
And the music goes on ...

LoLa 2
Rudi is another of her customers who first tells the reader his story before he gets laid down by Lola to receive his new back tattoo.
Rudi was a healthy and famous bankerman, 'til he went bankrupt. He pretty much lost everything. But he came up with a new plan...
Unfortunately it didn't work out, and Rudi has to get to know life behind bars...
The prison is not fun. That is something Rudi will find out quickly...
There he witnessed the process of getting a jail tattoo and was fascinated about receiving one, too.
After many years he gets out and knew to get his first real tattoo of freedom...
So, Rudi shows up in her store to get one. Sometimes, Lola has to grab to a few items to help her to prevent pain for her clients. Some positions are hard to deal with, so Rudi played with Lola's toy: a doll.

LoLa 3
In the third album, Tasha, a young Criollo girl from the Coast, will tell the life story of Lola.
They both grew up in the same neighbourhood and enjoyed a peaceful childhood..
Tasha and Lola had both their stories about their first loves and the sex they had, and in the first place, it tells all about Tasha.
So she is the one the reader gets to know her first, but it leads him to the same point. The freedom the girls had to enjoy the best time in their teenage lives... Love, sex and Rock 'n' Roll.
After Tasha gets to know Lola's tattooing talent, and receives her first piece with an incredible session with Lola, she also learns about the story how Lola got her talent for tattooing pieces and the gift of healing the pain at the same time.
It's all about VOODOO !
And of course, after she got her shop remodelled there is a hot breakdance party going on.

LoLa 4
In the beginning of my fourth book, I finish the story of Lola, how she got her talent for tattooing.
Afterwards, she presents different clients, like Patty, a very good friend of her.
Her man was murdered after being involved in deals with drugs and money. She wants to remember him with a tattoo.
Leila had a happy relationship with a man which she got married to. They wished kids but she didn't get pregnant. Her husband put her under pressure. Leila tells Lola her story.
Paula is one of Lola's clients who come for a memorial tattoo. Her friend Kiki died of cancer and she will remember her and her secrets forever.
Tosh almost died. He did a very stupid thing in his life and almost lost it.
His tattoo is a memory for his second birthday.
And of course, everyone of them experiences a special treatment of Lola.

LoLa 5
The fifth and sixth book tells about the story of tattoo.
It starts with the traditional pieces of circus people, especially women.
Marlene is one of them and visits Lola.
Lola's second client Bobby has a typical background and therefore a good reason to get a tattoo.
Ahoi sailor!
Other clients of Lola, like Samo, come in to get traditional symbols. Samo has Polynesian influences in his family and Lola tells history and backgrounds of Polynesian & Marquesan tattoos.
Wu, a friend of Lola, shows up to show her his traditional piece from Vietnam.
Other places, other culture, other motives. Check it out!
At the end, Lola and her friends visit a fire show presented by gyspies in her village.
As well to them is given a tradition of tattoos but more in the meanings...

LoLa 6
That book presents more interesting people and their different life stories and their reason why to get a tattoo.
Like Tosh, a skater...
He loves pin-ups. Here are a few examples:
Other clients of Lola come in like Linda with a tough story.
Or Greg who had a bad surfer accident. He wants a phoenix bird.
The statement of Betty is straight: being ugly is cool... and she's a super model!
Last, but not least: Johnny rocks the store with Lola and in the end at his concert.
Get a taste of it!

Lola´s profile and of her friends
LOLA
Lola is an outstanding and lovely young woman who is an artist and the owner of a tattoo shop. It´s located somewhere at the Caribbean Coast in a little village without a name. Lola has not only a talent to draw creative art but also the skill to reduce and cure pain during the process of tattooing. Therefore, she is very popular. So the clients don´t suffer, she is doing a sexual ritual during the sessions. Her customers are excited, pleased and satisfied at the same moment they receive their new piece of body art. Lola got that skill the same way her great grandmother got hers. She was also a body artist, and Lola followed her path. Lola´s childhood and the story of her granny are found in the 3rd book.
GATO
Gato is Lola´s boyfriend and partner forever. They both get to know each other in the first book where he broke into her shop to find help due to a bullet wound.
In former times he was a drug smuggler and killer but because of Lola, he gives up his past and starts a new life.
As well, he is a talented tattoo artist but uses the old style, a stick with a needle. He tattoos Lola to show his love to her.
TASHA
Tasha is Lola´s best friend since childhood times. They experienced a lot together, shared their secrets and adventures with men, and hold together in hard times. Lola was the one who inspired Tasha to start singing. She's got a beautiful, dark voice and with Lola´s help, she explored her talent and became a very popular singer & songwriter. She is the one who invented the Caribbean Blues. It´s a dark, melodic blues which describes the life style of the Caribbean people especially her friends at town and the feelings she has for them.
Patty has her own mind. Lola met her a few years ago, and they recognized that they think the same and share a lot. Patty had a tough life. After the death of her husband, she decided to change her way of life...
