On this page, I present three car hoods for three different countries: Türkiye, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Enjoy!

Turkiye (2020)

Sibel, the owner of the "Haarwerke" hair salon, made it possible for me to display this unique headpiece at a wonderful location. It is situated on a farm where the owner enables city dwellers to engage with and get closer to the country's diverse flora and fauna. Children, in particular, are very welcome there. Atatürk, Kangal dogs, Van cats, Sabiha Gökçen (a Turkish aviator and the first female combat pilot!), and coffee are just a few things associated with Turkey. Yet the country also boasts a wealth of historical sites, such as the Bosphorus, the caves of Cappadocia, the springs of Pamukkale, the colossal heads of Mount Nemrut, various amphitheaters, and the Trojan Horse. And, of course, no visit would be complete without a classic bazaar.

Indonesia (2020)

My friends Ridwan and Tresna are from Indonesia; fortunately, they have found a wonderful spot for this unique hood back home. So, it will soon be embarking on a long journey! Indonesia consists of not just a thousand islands but also boasts diverse flora and fauna. Many species of lizards can be found there—including the Komodo dragon, which is unique in the world. Also depicted are the extraordinary Bajau women divers and various indigenous groups such as the Dayak, Papuan, Dani, Mentawai, and Lingon peoples. The latter are known for their green and blue eyes and remain present to this day. Mention should also be made of the various forms of puppet theater, such as *Wayang Kulit* (shadow puppetry) and *Wayang Golek* (rod puppetry). The *Cendrawasih* (the country's national bird) and the *Angklung* musical instrument also appear on the hood, alongside traditional structures and temples like the Toraja and Minangkabau houses and the temples of Borobudur and Bali.

Khanh and Qua, my Vietnamese friends from MotoViets / Easyriders Mui Ne, will be displaying this hood. The motifs really resonate with these two avid motorcyclists, as this is a country that simply must be explored by bike. Beyond its numerous temples and breathtaking, jungle-clad mountain ranges, Vietnam also has an interesting history to tell.
